SKY DENTAL CLINIC
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry is about more than appearance — it's about how you feel when you smile. The right treatment can be as subtle as evening out the colour of your teeth, or as comprehensive as redesigning a whole smile. Whatever the goal, the work is built on the same principles as the rest of our dentistry: careful planning, honest conversation, and results that look like they were always meant to be there.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth darken over time. Coffee, red wine, tea, tobacco, and the slow business of getting older all leave their mark on the enamel. Whitening is a quick, easy, and painless way to bring back the brightness that's already in your teeth — it doesn't change the shape and the shade isn't painted on. With our in-chair treatment you can see your teeth go up to eight shades lighter in a single 90-minute session.
We use Zoom by Philips, the leading whitening system in the world, and we offer it as an in-chair treatment, a take-home system, or a combination of the two to suit your budget and your sensitivity. The in-chair treatment uses a higher-concentration gel activated by Zoom's LED light, the latest generation of the technology — less sensitivity during the appointment and a better final result. The take-home system uses custom-fitted trays and a milder gel worn over a week or two: slower, but with finer control over the final shade and gentler on sensitive teeth.
Whitening starts with a check-up. We won't whiten over decay, leaking fillings, or untreated gum disease — the result would be uneven and the underlying problem would still be there. Once your mouth is healthy, whitening is one of the simplest, most rewarding things cosmetic dentistry can offer.
Digital Smile Design
All our comprehensive cosmetic work is built on a digital smile design. During your consultation we take full-mouth and portrait photographs and an intra-oral scan to build a precise digital model of your teeth and face.
Our team analyses your features and your smile, then briefs our Smile Designers on what we're aiming for. You'll come back for a detailed presentation of exactly what we can achieve and how we'll get there — including AI-generated before-and-after visuals. We can also do a try-in, where we place the proposed design over your teeth and capture before-and-after photos and video, so you can test-drive your new smile before committing to anything.
Smile Makeovers
A smile makeover is what we call it when the goal isn't a single tooth but the whole smile — colour, shape, proportion, and the way the teeth sit against the lips and the rest of the face. It usually combines several treatments, planned together so the finished result reads as one smile rather than a collection of fixes.
Every makeover starts on paper, not in the mouth. We use the photographs and the intra-oral scan from your consultation to design the smile digitally, and we'll often build a mock-up in your mouth so you can see and feel the proposed result before any tooth is touched. Nothing is irreversible until you've seen where it's going.
Veneers
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain bonded to the front of the teeth. They change shape, colour, alignment, and proportion in a way no other single treatment can. Modern porcelain is strong, translucent, and stable — it doesn't discolour over time the way bonding can, and a well-made veneer is almost impossible to spot.
Veneers require careful preparation. A small amount of enamel is reshaped to make room for the porcelain, the teeth are scanned, and the veneers are made by a master ceramist to a specification we develop together. They are a commitment — the preparation is permanent — and we'll only recommend them when they're the right tool for the job.
Resin bonding
Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin, sculpted directly onto the tooth and hardened with a curing light. It's a minimally invasive way of giving you the best version of your own smile — the right answer for chipped edges, small gaps, worn corners, and minor reshaping, where the alignment and colour of your teeth are already where you want them.
If you're unhappy with the alignment of your teeth or the colour, bonding fits into a longer sequence: clear aligners first to straighten, then whitening to bring the colour up, then resin added to the edges to fix chips, correct contours, and finish the smile. Done on its own or as part of that sequence, it's a cost-effective mini smile makeover — quick, conservative, and remarkably effective. Bonding is done in a single visit, requires little to no removal of the natural tooth, and can usually be polished or refreshed over time. It doesn't have the longevity of porcelain, but for the right case it gives a beautiful, cost-effective result.
