Technology & Facility
We invest in our practice. The single biggest factor in the quality of dental work — beyond the skill of the clinician — is whether the clinician has the equipment to do the job properly, and we have made it our business to bring in the best of it. The kit on this page is state of the art, much of it world-class, and all of it earns its place by changing what we can do for the patient in the chair: cleaner work, more predictable results, gentler appointments, and outcomes the eye can't tell apart from natural teeth.
The Facility
Five modern, state-of-the-art dental studios, designed for aesthetics, function, comfort, and sterility — all four at once. The studios are bright, quiet, and built around the patient in the chair, with the technology integrated into the room rather than rolled in on a trolley. Behind the scenes, the practice runs on hospital-grade sterilisation, traceable instrument cycles, and the kind of clinical discipline that the patient should never have to think about, because it has already been thought about for them.
The Technology
Every piece of equipment in our practice was chosen for a reason — to make a specific part of dentistry better, faster, more comfortable, or more accurate than it would otherwise be. The result is a clinic where the technology disappears into the treatment: you don't think about the machines, you just feel the difference.
CEREC CAD/CAM milling
The chairside system that designs and mills a porcelain crown, inlay, or onlay in a single appointment. We scan, we design on screen, we mill from a solid block of monolithic ceramic in the room next door, and we bond it in. No putty impression, no temporary, no second visit.
WaterLase dental laser
A combined water-and-laser system that cuts both hard and soft tissue without the heat, vibration, or pressure of a conventional drill. We use it for cavity preparation, gum recontouring, the soft-tissue stages of implant work, and the laser disinfection step in root canal treatment. Quieter, gentler, and in many cases without the need for an injection.
Sandblasters for better adhesion
A fine, controlled jet of aluminium oxide particles that micro-roughens the surface of a tooth or restoration before bonding. The bond between composite and enamel — or between a ceramic crown and the tooth beneath it — is measurably stronger on a properly prepared surface. It is a small step that materially extends how long a restoration lasts.
Airflow polishing for painless cleaning
PTB Airflow — the gentle jet of fine powder, warm water, and air we use in every hygiene appointment. It lifts stain and biofilm from places hand instruments can't reach, including under the gumline and around implants, without the scrape and vibration of a traditional scale. Most patients describe it as the most comfortable cleaning they have ever had.
STA single-tooth anaesthesia
Computer-controlled local anaesthetic that delivers the numbing solution at a precisely regulated pressure, one tooth at a time. There is no ballooning of the lip or cheek, no numb tongue for the rest of the afternoon, and the injection itself is essentially imperceptible. For patients who have always dreaded the needle, it is a quiet revolution.
Digital X-rays and CBCT
Digital radiographs for the day-to-day diagnostic work — instant, high-resolution, and with a fraction of the radiation dose of older film systems. For the cases that need it, a cone beam CT gives us a three-dimensional view of the jaw, sinuses, nerves, and bone architecture, which is essential for implant planning, complex root canal anatomy, and the assessment of bone for grafts and periodontal surgery.
Intra-oral and 3D scanners
A digital intra-oral scanner replaces the old putty impression with a precise three-dimensional model of your teeth, accurate to within microns. We use it for crowns and onlays, clear aligner planning, smile design, implant guides, and as a diagnostic record we can refer back to over the years.
In-house photography studio
A dedicated photography studio with professional lighting and standardised setups for clinical, portrait, and smile-design photography. Every cosmetic case is documented properly — close-up shots of the teeth, full-face portraits in repose and animation, and the wide-smile views the smile designers work from. The photographs are part of the planning, the communication with the lab, and the record of the result.
Microscopes and loupes
Every clinician works in magnifying loupes as a matter of course, and for the finer stages of root canal and restorative work we use a surgical operating microscope with cold, shadow-free illumination and twenty-times magnification or more. At that scale we see things invisible to the naked eye — a hidden canal opening, the edge of a hairline crack, the precise margin of a preparation — and cleaner vision translates directly into cleaner work.
Digital Smile Design
The digital workflow that ties the photographs, the intra-oral scan, and the proposed cosmetic plan into a single, visualisable result. AI-generated before-and-after images, an in-mouth mock-up of the proposed smile, and a try-in stage where you can see and feel the design on your own teeth before any irreversible work is started. State-of-the-art, and used on every comprehensive cosmetic case we take on.
